Meet the Therapist

Rachel Lorenzo-Ramirez is a compassionate and attentive Licensed Mental Health Counselor, fluent in both English and Spanish. She is dedicated to guiding individuals toward clarity, renewed hope, and self-compassion, as well as helping them develop effective coping strategies to face life’s challenges. Specializing in anxiety, depression, perfectionism, life transitions, and perinatal mental health, Rachel creates a nonjudgmental, supportive environment where clients feel safe, motivated, and empowered to prioritize their well-being and build the lives they envision.

Driven by a profound curiosity about life’s complexities, Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in Deviant Behavior and Social Control, followed by a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John’s University. In addition to her specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Rachel is trained and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). With over a decade of counseling experience across inpatient mental health hospitals, higher education, and community counseling centers, she has developed a warm, accepting approach focused on understanding challenges and implementing lasting solutions for positive change.
